This Project is funded by the Texas Department of Agriculture, to strengthen and enhance the quality of life in smaller and rural communities with funds allocated by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Community Development Block Grant Program.

This project is administered by the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission.

The City of Kress is replacing its water meter system and six fire hydrants through this TxCDBG grant. Water meters will be installed throughout the City of Kress & fire hydrants will be replaced at the following intersections:

(1) 1st St. and Paul Ave (4) 2nd St. and Ripley Ave
(2) Main St. and Paul Ave (5) Main St. and Dunn Ave
(3) 2nd St. and Turner Ave (6) 7th St. and Old U.S. 87
